Review of Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003) by Jason R — 12 Apr 2011

Beautifully rendered film that blends good character development with its visuals, and keeps itself very much entertaining, and especially strikes a good chord with its humor. Though a certain part of this film might be trying to be a Disney production, the cast is professional enough at this sort of thing to keep it from getting away from them.

An interesting path is taken with the mix of Arab mythology (Sinbad) and Greek mythology (Eris, Tartarus) that comes across well. It's very lighthearted and fun, and an easy film to glom onto, as such it seems very underrated.

But regardless, it is at least worth it for the incredible visual presentation.
