Review of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977) by Scott S — 27 Sep 2008
I enjoyed disparate parts of this movie, like the Troglodite character, the icy setting of the third act, and the good looks of Patrick Wayne and Jayne Seymour. But the movie has a pretty boring middle section where the urgency of the plot dissipates.
Patrick Wayne, despite being such a hunk, is not a good actor, and certainly not charismatic enough to pull of Sinbad. It's still an interesting movie for Harryhausen enthusiasts. The troglodite is one of his best characters.
