Unfortunately the critics are mostly right on this one. While it is every bit as visually striking as the first, and maybe even better with 3D, this installment isn't as cohesive as the first. They don't have the emotional payoff that you're looking for.
The best part of the movie was the reference to the rare Tucker automobile. I think I'm going to watch that movie next. Grade C.
