Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Dov D — 13 Sep 2014
Robert Rodriguez's return to Frank Miller's relentlessly bleak neo-noir world was about six years too late for the mainstream movie-going audience, but that's far from the reason it failed to live up to the innovative first installment in this as-good-as-dead franchise.
Sporting an all-star cast and top notch effects, A Dame to Kill For had just about everything going for it except an original script. Playing out like an emotionless carbon copy of the first, Sin City 2 is entertaining to watch, but will undoubtedly leave disappointed and wanting more.
. 4.5/10.
