Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Colin S — 23 Mar 2015
Lacking the stark interplay of light and dark that seemed to make the first instalment of the series very accurately reflect its comic book origins, and also missing much-needed actors from the first (Owen, Aoki, and the late great Duncan), but the ever amazing pair of JGL and Green add some sparkle to this part, even though they are almost unnecessarily brutally dealt with by the plot.
Willis seems a little wasted in this too, as is Liotta. All in all, certainly more confronting, and not as uniquely new to the silver screen, as the first movie.
