Review of Sin City (2005) by Amjad A — 14 Jul 2013
Hurl as many accusations of misogyny/misandry at this film as you want, beneath the stylised violence and seemingly questionable morality it's a tale of love, revenge and occasional nobility. Visually arresting and backed up by stellar performances it's a very impressive film.
To nit-pick, aurally the recorded-in-a-box sound mix is occasionally irritating and you can't help but feel that the green-screen stunted performances somewhat. However, it's worthy of great merit despite some minor flaws.
