I gave this a second viewing and actually watched it on my TV instead of a crappy little monitor - it made a big difference. Understanding the whole story now I actually enjoyed it a lot more so than my first going.
In fact the only thing not to like is the cheesy occasional one-liners, "but that's my specialty!".
