Though, I find the work of Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez to be consistently problematic in the way female characters and sexuality are explored - and those problems are literally boiling over in this film -- -- it is impossible not to note the artistry applied to the telling of these very perverse tales.
Quite simply it is hard to ignore or look away.
