Review of Sin City (2005) by Chok S — 21 Aug 2014
A stylish crime/action film in the style of Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, and a touch from Quentin Tarantino of course. The GORES here are over the top with a similarity style to Rodriguez's Machete film but the coloring here that mostly limited to black, white, and red in the film making it less terrifying.
However, the violence is still impressively creative and will surely please the hard-core fans. The SCARE here, at least Elijah Wood's wicked face will give you the creep. Overall, this is an anthology film with a unique style of storytelling filled with thrill, action, revenge, sex, and blood in each segment.
Every scene here is stylishly shot and fascinating enough to sit through making it a memorable crime/action film that really stands out among its genre [B+].
