Review of Sin City (2005) by James W — 16 Jan 2014
It's been a long time since I've been so hooked in a film where if a character I like dies I leap off the chair in shock and feel sympathetic. Sin City is unforgettable, with an absorbing story, excellent performances, the cast are just 10/10, and the visuals are outstanding, the thunder and lightning mixed with the colour of blood looks incredible.
The violence is intense, especially when Willis smacks the man with the yellow face till his face turns to mush, and the way he describes his smell is so vivid you begin to imagine what it's like, the script is so thorough.
A whole new graphic world awaits, Sin City is one heck of a spectacle, Robert Rodriguez is a great director and I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel.
