Review of Simply Irresistible (1999) by Sarah M — 19 Jun 2008
I'm pretty sure I've already seen this movie, but I watched it again as part of my Mission To Watch Foodie Movies. It is a terrible movie. In some aspects it's a straightforward, formulaic romantic comedy, but it also has a lot of random fantastical elements, like this magical crab who is never really explained and people floating through the air.
The dialogue is terrible, and I kept yelling at the characters to stop talking. You would think they would listen, what with all the food and kissing and better things they could be doing with their mouths.
I only gave it two stars because the food looked good, and Sean Patrick Flanery did most of the time.
