Review of Simon Says (2007) by Elizabeth H — 02 Feb 2010
You know it would be really easy to hate Simon Says at face value. But as an avid horror fan I can't help but to appreciate the creative, delirious pacing of this awkward little horror film. Packed with a stunningly attractive cast (especially the guys).
Simon Says is that film about those campers who get attacked by a psycho. Not much originality there. But the film also has lots of depraved humor, most of which works. Making for a truly retarded genre experience in the tradition of classic Sleepaway Camp films.
So expect lots of creatively gory kills, lots of shirtless hunks and a frantic chaotic pacing and thats Simon says. A film light on scares but big on the chuckles that surround them.
