Based on the AMAZING John Irving novel "A Prayer for Owen Meany". If you have read the book then this film is a dissapointent. It has it's merits, but lacks so much that the book offers. Changes made are there to make the film shorter and easy to follow, but end up with the story looking contrived and pretentious.
If you enjoy reading-read the book instead, if you don't like reading, then challenge yourself to read possibly the best book you ever could!!
