Review of Silverado (1985) by Michael T — 20 Jan 2009
The Western has been officially dead for years, but director's continue to revisit the genre. SILVERADO is one of the better 1980s "Dusters" with good cast (Kline & Goldblum had been in THE BIG CHILL and Costner's scenes in director Kasden's THE BIG CHILL had been cut out; Glover & Kilne would reunite in Kasden's GRAND CANYON in the 1990s).
This film and Kasden's first (BODY HEAT) are proof that Kasden loves the classic movied genres but likes to mix them up a bit.
