OK, I have to admit it doesn't fall into the "realistic" Western movie format. It is less brutal and bloody than more recent westerns, but that is exactly why I like it. There is no deeper message, it is just fun and isn't that why most people go to the movies? No one has ever beat Silverado when it comes to beautiful scenery or camera angles that show them off.
To see Kevin Costner, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, Kevin Kline, Brian Dennehy, Rosanna Arquette, and others together in one movie is a treat. My only complaint is that it is not longer so we could get further into the homesteaders story.
