Review of Silverado (1985) by Bill C — 03 Sep 2013
Great, Fresh take on a western - and back when country wasn't cool: 1985.
Beautiful scenery, solid script, great characters, especially memorable: Linda Hunt,.
You are brought directly into the action, characters and camaraderie, so there is a refreshing perspective here. So much so that you don't even consider the western traditions/cliches bc of the care and vibrancy percolating throughout the relationships and perfectly toned scenes.
This is a model for westerns.
And how to get them "right".
I loved this in the theatre and it holds up Very Well, even on just tv.
4 Yippy Ky-Yays out of 5.
