The film I watched was silver linings playbook by David O. Russell. This movie was great because it had some comedy, drama and romance all mixed into one. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper were an amazing combination because Jennifer Lawrence acted like she was really her character, as well as the fact they made a great falling in love couple in the movie. This movie is based on a semi-dysfunctional family with two dysfunctional main characters.

This movie is about a man named Pat (Bradley Cooper), who just cant get over the fact that his former "wife" is not able, or wanting to see him after he attacks a teacher and but he is still trying every way to communicate with her. Later on he meets a girl named Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), who also has some issues and she promises to give Pat's former wife a letter to try to get back together with Pat. However, Tiffany makes Pat promise her to be her partner in a dance competition, in exchange to give the letter to Pat's x-wife. Although they run into some issues, like the dad (played by Robert De Niro) betting all of his money for a football game, and the two characters...well being their Semi-crazy selves.The plot of the movie is very original because its not your average rom-com. The dysfunction of the family and lovers themselves, make the movie much more interesting and have you guessing almost the whole way through.

The overall theme of this movie is the thing you think of love, isn't what you really love. Those makes sense for the theme because Pat thinks he loves his ex-wife and they're meant for each other, but ends up realizing that she is not the one he really loves. This teaches viewers that love comes anywhere, there is no type of personality or specific thing about love. I think the director made the theme so viewers would understand that a family that is not perfect, makes a real family.

The visual appearance of the movie was good. It had practical lighting and camera work, which made the movie look more like its theme and just a family that lives in an average town. They had great set designs, based on a small town that wasn't high class and made the lighting set up for more of a town that has a change of mood, like the characters. The music in the film was phenomenal because it incorporated good with the personality of the characters. The music piece they put together for the dance competition was very well done because the music would change its beat or style and match the way the main characters change their moods as well.

I believe that Silver Linings Playbook was an amazing movie. I would recommend anyone to see it because it has a great story line and is different than other types of romantic movies. This is a movie that will make you laugh, fall in love and will have you purely entertained throughout the whole film. It's great for young adults to see because they can almost relate it to themselves or in some cases, others. Altogether its a purely enjoyable movie.
