Review of Silver Linings Playbook (2012) by Jarrid F — 26 Feb 2014
Written by Matthew M Quick and Director, David O. Russell, the audience is introduced to the life of Pat Solatano Jr. After 8 months of being detained in a mental facility, Pat is released back into Philadelphia's society. Diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, he uses an optimistic outlook to the life he once knew. Under his parents' watchful eyes, Pat hopes to get his job back as a teacher and more importantly rekindle his love with his ex-wife. However he was hit with an audible when Tiffany (played by Jennifer Lawrence) comes running into his life.
Denver Post critic Ricardo Baca said it best, "this meaningful film keeps the laughs, giddy anxiousness and warm butterflies from the trailer and sustains it all through two full hours of a love story.".
If you're in for a comedy/romance flick, I recommend watching this 2 hours and 3 minute, Rated R film.
P.S. "Watch for the signs.".
