Review of Silver Linings Playbook (2012) by Gary C — 01 Feb 2014
This movie has, in my opinion, the same appeal as did Million Dollar Baby (MDB). Now, that is NOT a compliment! It has the same formulaic, simplistic and predictable approach to complex issues. I continue to be amazed that this movie or MDB received the acclaim they have.
They also remind me of Crash, another formulaic movie which is readily accepted by the 'dumbed-down' American society in which we live. The only thing which would have made them more disgusting would have have been for Celine Dion to have sung during the closing credits.
Or did she?
