Great characters push this piece about real-life whistle-blower Karen Silkwood, and her crusade against Kerr-McGee nuclear energy plant in the '70's. Scary because it's true.
Cher is great as Dolley Pelliker, Silkwood's roommate who does make-up at a local funeral parlor for a living. And somewhere, Peter Halverson is saying, "What's the name of the woman that Cher played again?" And nobody will know what this means except Pete.
