Review of Silent Running (1972) by Jayesh S — 20 Jul 2008
A science-fiction classic (with a great theme song that makes the ending particularly elegaic). Although the story is very simple, there is a much deeper theme than environmentalism running throughout.
Was Freeman was right to kill his fellow crew members to save the forests - something which haunts him constantly - and did it pay off?
