Review of Silent Running (1972) by William B — 04 May 2014
A very good film. Special effects and design weren't up to the amazingly high standards set by 2001 but regardless, the focus here is on story and the message within. Douglas Trumbull's directing is not simply showcasing technology here, but is bringing out the sentiment of the story, which compliments the passion and intensity of Freemans character and is credit to his raw ability as a Director.
Top class!
