Review of Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) by Jason J — 16 Dec 2009
Controversial Xmas horror about a young boy traumatised by the murder of his parents at the hands of a person dressed up as Santa. Years later and in his teens, Billy's mind snaps and goes on a killing spree one Christmas as Santa Claus with his trusty axe.
This was the first ever movie to feature a killer Santa and it caused a storm over in the US where it was subsequently withdrawn soon after it's release in the cinemas in 1984. I thought it was quite an enjoyable slasher movie with some nice creative death scenes.
It's definitely worth your effort to check this one out.
