Probably the definitive entry into the rather select â??axe-wielding Santaâ?? subgenre and undoubtedly best known for a notoriously ill-advised advertising campaign that ran during childrenâ??s programmes in the run up to Christmas.
Itâ??s not very good, obviously, but it has a certain 80s charm and there is something slightly irresistible about the relentless grip of the set up. One for slasher movie completists only I would have thought.
(Though if you are tempted, you may be pleasantly surprised by the nice clean print on the DVD.).
