Review of Silent Movie (1976) by Sterling T — 15 Feb 2008

You need to be in the right mood to enjoy this movie, a mel brooks mood. I don't think this would have worked for anyone else. it's the subtleties that do it for me, not so much the slapstick..

.although the slapstick is performed and shot very well. the intentional fuckups are a delight, if you're paying attention. the music is obnoxious to the point of distraction, as it climaxes during "down time" and is absent or mellow during plot climax.

love it.
