Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Kristen K — 03 Nov 2012
The story itself is original and a creative idea. The effects aren't great and neither is the horror aspects and the acting. It has a nice build up in the story of the two sides in the town and although both are evil, one created the other which made for a good back story and character development.
The creatures chasing everyone could have been left out as it does make sense they walk around trying to catch the church followers but the story is solid even without them and I have a feeling they stuck around to bring the thriller-chasing aspect to the story.
A few changes such as the effects, some better acting and horror/thrilling scenes could really have brought it to the next level as a memorable horror film.
