Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Brittany S — 30 Jul 2012
I love this movie, it is one of my all time favorites, and I'm about to tell you why.
The movie itself was stunning, with a beautiful creepy atmosphere just like the games. The amount of intelligence put into the film left me stunned and thinking for hours on end. Finally I figured it out, and it all makes sense when you understand bible terms and have the brain power to think.
A lot of intentions in this movie were left to be secret on purpose to leave the viewer in thought and wonder. Because of this everyone has developed their own theories and thinking correctly about it can make a lot of sense.
Silent Hill was made to be slightly confusing because of it's intricate design and plot line. Besides, does it really make any sense for us as living beings to understand what the afterlife holds? No we can only wonder, just like how we wonder about the universe.
This film also has wonderful acting and follows the Silent Hill laws perfectly like the games have originally created. Now I just have to cross my fingers that they won't dumb down the sequel just for the masses.
