Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Gabriella P — 03 Oct 2012
I thought it had some potential and really liked certain aspects of it. It was creepy looking to start with, and having only seen the "running into the church" scene, I was dead set on seeing the rest.
But there was a little too much of a computer look from time to time, and the whole burning witches aspect of the movie with the crazed, religious townspeople didn't appeal to me. I would've preferred something darker to match the beyond creepy and awesome scary parts.
+ there didn't seem to be a thought behind most of the dark creatures..... The nurses somehow seem relevant, and the yucky dude in the bathroom at the school... But what were the others doing there? What was the point?
