Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Brandon S — 16 Dec 2017
While I expected the film's fairly unimpressive writing I didn't expect such poor acting from experienced names like Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell. The film's overall delivery is a bit spotty and weird, but it's pretty impressive visually.
The writing seems so unnatural and unconvincing that it almost wrecks the base of the film, despite it's fairly devout portrayal of environments and objects from the games. This is no doubt a poorly made movie but it definitely wasn't a bad movie.
Gans shows skill with the camera, he just needs a little guidance in other areas.
