Review of Silence (2017) by Tommy M — 07 Feb 2017
Not sure if this film is an anti-religious film or a very religious one. What I do know is that Martin Scorsese directed the hell out of his self proclaimed "Passion Project". A career peak performance from Andrew Garfield as a Christian priest looking for his teacher (a always stellar, Liam Neeson) & spreading the word of god throughout Japan saves Silence from being an absolute bore.
Not the best from Scorsese & not his worst, Silence is one passion project that doesn't need repeat viewings.
