Review of Silence (2017) by Alan D — 12 May 2017
Silence is a film by Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese staring Andrew Garfield (Sebastião Rodrigues), Adam Driver (Francisco Garupe), Tadanobu Asano (The Interpreter) and Liam Neeson (Cristóvão Ferreira).
This is a hard film to watch due to the extreme hardship and moral complexity that Garfield's and Driver's characters go through on their missionary in Japan. The film has incredible acting from all parties involved.
The run time is a bit long however and it is deliberately paced. This film is not for everyone.
