Silence is the story of two Christian missionaries whose faith is tested when they travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor at a time when Christianity was outlawed. The film examines the spiritual question of God's silence in the face of human suffering.
The film looks beautiful and is well acted but what it does lack is pacing, it was an interesting character study but quite a slog to get to the end. It was missing something for me.
