If it weren't for its completely ridiculous ending, I would love Signs just as much as I do The Sixth Sense. The film's disregard for Independence Day level mayhem is its strongest aspect. It's deliberate familial focus is an accomplishment.
Nearly everything else, however, is complete and utter idiocy. Shyamalan's take on the alien invasion genre is a mixed bag.
