Review of signs (2014) by Josh B — 07 Mar 2013
There are worse movies out there... but you'll find that this one is still pretty bad. The acting itself is laughable, as the adults all talk like children, no one seems to act upon any semblance to common sense, and the effects themselves are unimpressive.
Not to mention, the twist makes no sense. It's announced literally in the middle of the film, and (SPOILERS) why on earth would a group of aliens attack a planet unarmed? It makes no sense. The biggest plot hole is that water is like acid to them, so it's a great thing they attacked a planet mostly covered with the stuff and rains it from the sky.
For a hyper advanced species, they're unbelievably stupid, roughly about as stupid as this film. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, and worth a view for the comedic standpoint, but if you expect to take this movie seriously and be scared, I recommend looking elsewhere.
