Review of Signs (2002) by Sam N — 13 Mar 2013
Suspense is great, especially when it delivers. There are a very, very select few instances where suspense works even without delivering a release from the suspense, but this was not one of them. The film fizzles out, rather than finishing, and the suspense feels like it was stretched too long and too thin.
Don't get me wrong, I can handle suspense, and I can wait for a long time, as long as there's a reward. But I don't see the point in suspense for no point at all.
