What would happen if Mike Leigh directed NATURAL BORN KILLERS? It would be something like SIGHTSEERS, Ben Wheatley's latest. The premise is terrific. The subtext a bit too blatant. Do we really need a character explain the class struggle underlying this tale of murder and mayhem? Ultimately, SIGHTSEERS is little more than a nasty little premise that is never nasty enough but damn good enough to peak one's interest.
Sad but fun, SIGHTSEERS has a pitch perfect ending that makes you wish it was all that good.
