Review of Sightseers (2012) by Barry Thomas A — 09 Dec 2012
Sightseers is AWESOME!
Chris, has an extremely short fuse, the slightest negative like dropping a sweet wrapper, a little "you shouldn't do that" criticism sets him off, and he starts planning your demise.
Tina, has led a very sheltered life due to her domineering mother, which means that Chris, is pretty much her first actual boyfriend.
Chris, convinces Tina, to go caravaning for a week, but her mother is not to keen on the idea and takes an instant dislike to Chris while plotting to keep Tina at home.
Everything is going fine until someone drops a Cornetto wrapper onto the floor of one of the last two remaining trolley buses in the UK, he is soon dealt with, ending up under the wheels of the caravan.
Pretty soon the death toll mounts up, but it don't bother Tina, she's enjoying the sex, but then Chris starts losing interest in that side of things which upsets Tina.
The roll reversal starts as soon as Tina gets jealous with anyone showing an interest in Chris, be it male or female, so now Tina is doing the killing much to Chris's disgust.
All this leads to a bitter sweet ending with a twist.
Sightseers is a dark and twisted black comedy with great one liners that have you in fits off laughter.
My most memorable moment, Tina buying a six foot pencil that's like eight inches round, and it's what she does with it after purchasing!
