Review of Sightseers (2012) by Paul R — 26 May 2013
I feel very privileged to have seen Sightseers at The Electric Cinema Birmingham a day before UK release presented by writers and stars Alice Lowe and Steve Oram. I really enjoyed myself and so did everyone there.
Now on my third viewing it still is consistently funny. It's punctuated with plenty of shocks and surprises, for first time viewers you really never know where it's leading you. If you like your comedy on the darker side of life then this will be right up your street.
Be prepared for plenty of fun. Wheatley is really making his mark since Down Terrace and Kill List and watching this confirms my appreciation. I just can't wait for Wheatley's next film A Field in England.
Released on the same day in cinemas, DVD / Blu ray, VOD and Film4 everyone needs to get behind this film and give it the credit it deserves.
