Review of Sightseers (2012) by Paul B — 30 Dec 2013
Superbly black comedy about two newly in love people heading out on their first holiday together but leaving a trail of destruction, albeit unplanned, in their wake. Some wonderfully surreal humour peppers the road trip that makes up the most mediocre of holidays that are all richly and subtlety observed.
Featuring a mass of over the top gory moments and a wonderful finale this is another excellent film by Ben Wheatley excellently written by the two leads. Solid macabre fun.
