Review of Siesta (1987) by Van W — 17 Oct 2012
A decidedly underrated and generally misunderstood film. A classic case study in surrealist film. Wonderful cast, balancing one another out. Jody Foster and Grace Jones, as well as Barkin herself, provide some touches of humor in an otherwise desperate end-of-life drama.
The film made me yearn to end my life on a party binge in southern Spain, but then who doesn't want to do that?
