An overly sentimental movie - it's desire for depth is palpable, but ultimately feels forced and squashes the raw and honest picture of teen insecurity that it tried to achieve. No real drama, no real climax, much like actual life.
The movie becomes so involved in itself, it all but abandons the honorable narrative it set out to tell. Hmm.
