"Sideways" is at times funny, and it has solid characters, but I think I get just get sort of bored with the pacing. It is probably my least favorite Payne film, and I don't know why this film got so much praise when it was first released.
It does a good job of capturing the mid-life crisis, and there are some genuinely funny moments...it just needed some trimming and perhaps a few less indie character dramedy cliches.
