Review of Sideways (2004) by David R — 01 Oct 2011
A very heart filled film although I don't fully understand the hype. Paul giamatti plays a very depressed character due to the fact his marriage has ended and he's a failed writer along with his friend who is also a failed actor(Thomas haden church) The due are vacationing in wine country and meet two rather different girls. Know don't get me wrong the film has it's funny pasts like stealing wallets from naked people anti really does entertain in-between all the depression that is. The film really explores the characters morality and questions it. I Cannes this film appealing to middle-aged couples and people who like and understand wine tasting.
Not as good as the hype but better than borderline.
6/10.
