Review of Sideways (2004) by James-Masaki R — 24 Apr 2012
2 middle-aged men traveling to wine country for a pre-wedding road trip. Not as hysterical as you would think, and plays with realism and the uncomfortable antics involved with the 2 guys. Paul Giamatti is a divorced depressed writer trying to get a book published, Thomas Haden Church is a bit-TV actor and serious womanizer, out to get a little more pussy before tying the knot on the weekend.
So how much wine drinking is in the movie? Quite a lot, and it certainly gives you appreciation for it, but it's more about people opening up, settling on what is laid ahead for us.
