Review of Sideways (2004) by Andrew S — 12 Feb 2013
Returning to this film after quite some time Sideways has grown even finer over the period. This slice of life comedy is filled with wine metaphors and our wine loving main characters soak in every fibre of Payne's wonderful, careful and simplistic script while never going out of character or over the top.
The transitions and developments are extremely natural. 2004 was one hell of year but Sideways is one of the finest out of this year. Second time rating: 9.2/10.
