Review of Sideways (2004) by Gavran R — 18 Apr 2012
A slow moving film that takes its time to reveal it's depth, rather like a fine wine! I really liked this one and thought the performances of all involved were great, especially Giamatti. For anyone who has an appreciation of wine this is a must see film but even if you know nothing there is a gentle comedy and sadness that permeates the film and the fact that the realtionship bewteen Giamatti and Madsen (also excellent) isn't resolved is a nice step.
Best appreciated with a nice glass of Pinot.
