Side Effects tries to be The Prestige in a lot of ways. It's long, it's full of twists, and it's main characters are all extremely unlikable. Unlike The Prestige, though, Side Effects is boring.
When all that comes of a woman with psychotic episodes is one woodenly acted death scene, it loses a lot of novelty.
