(2013) Side Effects.
DRAMA THRILLER.
Plays like a cross between "Requiem For A Dream", "The Lincoln Lawyer" and then "Wild Things" where it's being suggested that a new medication can motivate some person to go to drastic means without knowing that s/he could've done it which are the Side Effects. The set up involves Emily Taylor (Rooney Mara) taking prescription medication who purposely crashes her car onto a wall of a parking lot. While sitting on a hospital, she then agree not to stay in the hospital if she agrees to see a professional shrink by the name of Dr. Jonathan Banks(Jude Law). Because she says that her pills don't work, she then requests another kind of pills called Ablixa then 'hell freezes over' with twists and turns. After the movie was over I still had some questions which weren't answered since it felt more than director Steven Soderbergh can handle. Interesting but could've been better and much more tighter.
2.5 out of 4 stars.
