Review of Side Effects (2013) by Reel H — 14 Jul 2017
Side Effects is a tightly wound film wrapped in a shroud of mystery until the final minutes. The plot starts off simple enough, but layers and layers are placed on top, and Jude Law's character is at the center of it.
As far as the performances, they were all really great, especially Rooney Mara and Jude Law, I'm a fan of both actors and I was really impressed with how they handled their screen time. Tatum doesn't have a nearly as well written character, but he did well for what was given to him, which is difficult to do.
I really can't say much without spoiling too much that I didn't know before the film, all I can say is that I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing Soderbergh in some of his best work.
