Review of Side by Side (2012) by Ian G — 01 Jan 2013
An extremely insightful and balanced look into the current wave of filmmaking over the last 2 decades, specifically on the digital revolution and all of the aspects it touches from exhibition, production, post and the old vs new school viewpoints.
The thing that was really impressive was the amount of interview subjects that Keanu was able to gather from front line to independent directors, festival heads, heads of equipment suppliers and the like, and assmembling a arc that is not just a advertisment selling the idea but merging arguments for and against.
A must watch for any film enthusiast who is enthralled with historical coverage on important moments in film.
